The most painful thing about caring is that many others do not. People will not be so deeply invested in your passions and concerns as you are, no matter how compelling an argument you have. No matter how much real pain you feel. No matter how clear the path to a solution could be if we joined together.
Thank you, Nina, for writing this. Your words move me. We are all facing our own battles but taking time to stand together, even in separate fights, we see how we are all connected. 🫂
Nina Solis maybe the secret to a movement is the willingness to understand that your heart might break whether or not the movement is successful and still take action. I stand with the innocents everywhere. With war all involved suffer and children not only suffer but are inspired by rage. Maybe a community willing to seek solutions for all the innocents through listening, understanding, and acceptance rich with dialogue as an alternative to war with a focus on mutual benefits would be an alternative. This may only have promise with an intent to build bridges not walls of irrational emotions shutting out our ability to seek reasonable and logical solutions. I hear and read so many heart wrenching concerns, my own voice included, yet at a loss towards offering long term solutions with viable short term steps towards real and lasting agendas.

One of my favorite quotes:
People can only meet you, as deeply as they’ve met themselves.
You are so right— so many variables.
